DESCRIPTION

Welcome to the AI Lab, where you will dive into the exciting world of artificial intelligence and learn how to tackle real-world business challenges using AI tools and techniques. This course is all about giving you hands-on experience with AI and showing you how to apply it to practical problems that companies face today. During the program, you will work on projects that mirror the kind of work AI professionals do in the industry. You will explore machine learning to make data-driven predictions, dive into deep learning for tasks like image recognition and time-series forecasting, and even experiment with generative AI to create innovative content or designs. Through a combination of workshops, projects, and mentorship, students will gain exposure to AI methods, data science workflows, and business-driven problem-solving strategies. The program simulates the corporate context, emphasizing collaboration, agile methodologies, and outcome-driven AI solutions.

Pablo López Coya

Pablo López is an experienced engineer and academic with 15 years of expertise in cutting-edge industries, including Digital TV, Healthcare, Telco Packet Core, Digital Home, AI, Web3, and the Metaverse. He has built his career in the corporate technology sector, holding significant roles at Ericsson, Siemens, and most recently at Telefónica. Throughout his career, Pablo has held key positions focused on innovation, enabling him to gather extensive experience in driving technological advancements and pioneering new solutions for real-world challenges.  This wealth of experience has empowered him to contribute significantly to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, where he actively collaborates providing technical assessment, strategic thinking and business expertise.

In addition to his industry career, Pablo has made notable contributions to academia. From 2018 to 2021, he worked as a Post Graduate Associate Professor specializing in Web3 and Blockchain at Universidad Europea de Madrid. He received a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Communication Systems from the University of Portsmouth (2005) and an M.Sc. (Hons) degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Alcalá de Henares, Spain (2006).

Pablo's innovative work has been recognized multiple times within Telefónica, where he was awarded the title of Distinguished Inventor in 2018, 2019, and 2021. In 2023, he was further honored as one of the Top 5 Inventors across the entire Telefónica Group.
